Environmental Law software built around the dates, records and paperwork of the work
Environmental files begin with a site and a sample and grow into notices, liability among parties and a cost recovery. The workspace ties sampling, notice and liability together and records the finances.
Dates it keeps for you
Each of these is counted from a date your team types, placed in the matter calendar, and confirmed by the responsible attorney.
Release and notice clocks
The discovery date starts the reporting dates.
Permit appeals
The date a permit issued, the board or court where it can be appealed and the window that follows, calendared.
Proceedings
Each enforcement or remedial proceeding, its forum, the orders issued and the dates by which a response is due.
Cost-recovery limitation
The limitation period for a cost-recovery claim is counted from the event recorded, for the attorney to confirm.
What the matter holds
Typed records, not a narrative note: each fact is entered once and every calculation, form and document reads from it.
Site and actors
The site, its owners and operators over time, and the parties who may be responsible, each linked to the dates they held it.
Sampling
Each sample, where and when it was taken, the laboratory and the result, with the chain of custody beside it.
Liability issues
The defences and liability questions for each party identified, with the evidence and the finding of the attorney.
Cost recovery
Costs incurred, who paid them, the amounts sought from others and what has been received, matter by matter.
Resolutions
A settlement, consent decree or order that resolves the matter, with its terms and the dates it must be performed.
Prepared for you
Forms are the agency’s own PDF, filled from the record. Documents are prepared from the same rows for the attorney to edit.
The workspace, step by step
The order a matter moves through the environmental law workspace.

What it does not do
- Sampling results are entered from lab reports; the platform does not interpret them.
How the legal content here is checked
This page describes the software; no attorney is named as its reviewer, so none is shown. Behind the environmental law workspace, each deadline rule, limitation period and legal figure is stored with its citation and is recorded as verified only once a named attorney has confirmed it, with that attorney's name and the date; showing that record beside every rule on screen is still in progress. The coverage page counts how many are verified, by practice area and state.
What you can hold us to
Law Hired is practice software, not a law firm or legal-advice service
Every date and figure is counted from what the firm enters and verified by the responsible attorney
Law that changes is reference data with its citation, checked by an attorney before it is relied on
Availability is described separately from production verification
Questions firms ask
Does it keep chain of custody?
Yes. Each sample carries its handlers and transfers in order, so the custody record can be produced with the result.
Does it allocate costs?
Yes. Response costs are allocated among the parties by the method the attorney selects, and the allocation is stored with its inputs.
Does it calendar notice duties?
Yes. A release or event starts the notice duties that apply, each with the agency, the date due and the proof it was given.
Does Law Hired give environmental law legal advice?
No. Law Hired is practice software. It records, calculates and prepares from what the firm enters, and the responsible attorney verifies every date, figure and document before anyone relies on it.
