Find an attorney
You do the hiring.
Describe your situation. Attorneys whose bar licence we’ve verified respond with a proposal and a price. See each one in full — their background, their proposal, and how they answer when you ask — then choose one, or none.
Most legal sites help you search. This one helps you hire.
Describe what happened
In your own words. A free AI first pass helps you organise the facts and understand what kind of attorney handles it — before anyone contacts you.
Read the proposals
Attorneys who handle this kind of matter send you a proposal — what they’d do and what it costs. You read them in your own time.
Hire the one you want
Or none of them. If you hire someone, everything runs in one place — messages, documents, invoices — so you always know where your matter stands.
The price is in the proposal, before you commit.
You shouldn’t have to book a consultation to find out what something costs. Every proposal states the attorney’s fee up front, in writing, before you decide anything.
Across 500 law firms secret-shopped in 2024, 14% of firm websites displayed pricing at all. Source: Clio Legal Trends Report — a legal software company, and a competitor of ours.
Filter attorneys by what they actually do. Every one of these is measured and dated — never a rating, never a rank.
Neutral by construction
What an attorney pays us does not decide who you see.
Why some attorneys appear first
Attorneys who use Law Hired are shown before unclaimed listings. An unclaimed listing is a public bar record — nobody is behind it, and it cannot receive your matter or reply to it. Nothing else moves an attorney up, and you can sort the list yourself.
We don’t rank or score attorneys
No stars, no scores, no “best” lists. Law Hired does not evaluate anyone’s skill, experience or record. You compare what they wrote and what they charge, and you choose.
Your case is never sold as a lead
Attorneys cannot buy access to you. They pay a flat monthly fee for the software, set by how many attorneys are in the firm — and nothing else. Law Hired takes no part of any legal fee.
Law Hired is paid only by the firms who use the software. You are not the product.
Most legal sites end at the form. This one goes all the way.
You fill something in, your details go somewhere, and then you wait — not knowing who has them, whether anyone will call, or what any of it will cost. Here, you can see all of it.

Law Hired is paid by attorneys — one flat monthly fee per firm, set by how many attorneys are in the firm, and nothing else. No fee per enquiry, and no share of any legal fee. If you hire an attorney, their fee is stated in their proposal and paid to them.
After you hire, nothing goes dark.
Most legal sites finish the moment your details are passed on, and you find out what happened by chasing someone. Here the matter itself lives in the software your attorney works in — so you can see it.
- Where your matter stands, updated by your attorney rather than guessed at.
- Documents and messages in one place, instead of scattered across email.
- Invoices against the fee you agreed, so nothing arrives as a surprise.

Before you type anything, four answers.
Is this free?
Yes. Posting is free, reading proposals is free, and saying no is free. You do not enter card details to use this page.
Do I have to talk to anyone?
Not to post, and not to read what comes back. You reply in writing inside your case page, and you decide if and when a conversation happens.
How do you check attorneys?
Law Hired verifies that an attorney holds an active bar licence before they can send you a proposal. It does not rate, rank or endorse anyone, and it does not evaluate anyone’s skill, experience or record — you compare and you choose.
What if none of the proposals suit me?
Close the matter and nothing happens. There is no fee, no obligation, and you can delete the posting entirely.
