Law Hired

Class Action practice operations

Class Action software built around the dates, records and paperwork of the work

A class case is less one dispute than a population: who is in, what the court has to find, what the settlement pays and who objected. The workspace holds the class and its elements, counts the population and runs the settlement from notice to distribution.

Dates it keeps for you

Each of these is counted from a date your team types, placed in the matter calendar, and confirmed by the responsible attorney.

01

Certification schedule

The certification hearing and briefing dates sit in the matter calendar.

02

Settlement notice to officials

The CAFA notice date and the earliest date the court may approve are counted from service.

03

Opt-out and objection windows

The dates set by the notice order are calendared and each submission recorded against them.

04

Claims deadline

The claim period and distribution dates are tied to the order.

What the matter holds

Typed records, not a narrative note: each fact is entered once and every calculation, form and document reads from it.

01

The class and the Rule 23 elements

Definition, subclasses and each element, with the evidence for it.

02

Population counts

The size of the class and how it was counted, with the source of each figure, so the numerosity showing can be traced.

03

Settlement terms

Fund, fees, service awards, release and cy-près terms.

04

Opt-outs and objections

Each opt-out and each objection is a row with its date received, the person and the ground stated, checked against the deadline.

05

Claims and distribution

A pro rata distribution calculated from valid claims and recorded.

Prepared for you

Forms are the agency’s own PDF, filled from the record. Documents are prepared from the same rows for the attorney to edit.

What it does not do

  • Certification standards vary by circuit; they are the attorney’s analysis, not a calculation.
  • The platform calculates a distribution from the rows entered; settlement-administrator data is imported, not verified.

How the legal content here is checked

This page describes the software; no attorney is named as its reviewer, so none is shown. Behind the class action workspace, each deadline rule, limitation period and legal figure is stored with its citation and is recorded as verified only once a named attorney has confirmed it, with that attorney's name and the date; showing that record beside every rule on screen is still in progress. The coverage page counts how many are verified, by practice area and state.

What you can hold us to

Law Hired is practice software, not a law firm or legal-advice service

Every date and figure is counted from what the firm enters and verified by the responsible attorney

Law that changes is reference data with its citation, checked by an attorney before it is relied on

Availability is described separately from production verification

Questions firms ask

Does it manage settlement notice?

It prepares the notice and tracks the opt-out and objection windows the order sets.

Can it calculate pro rata shares?

Yes, from valid claims and the net fund, recorded with its inputs.

Does it handle the CAFA notice?

It prepares the notice and counts the earliest approval date from the service date.

Does Law Hired give class action legal advice?

No. Law Hired is practice software. It records, calculates and prepares from what the firm enters, and the responsible attorney verifies every date, figure and document before anyone relies on it.
